After four years as President of the Philippine Association for Chinese Studies, Dr Rommel Banlaoi has been succeeded by his Vice-President, Fr Aristotle Dy, SJ, PhD.
Elections were held online among permanent members of PACS and the new Board met on June 1, 2022, to elect the officers among themselves. The other officers are Mr Jaime FlorCruz, Vice-President, Miss Joahnna Esquivias, Corporate Secretary, and Mr Michael Guzman, Treasurer. The other Board members are Dr Tina Clemente, Lucio Pitlo, Dr Cho Chiong Tan, Jan Robert Go, Wesley Chua, Jaime Naval, and Dr Janet Atutubo.
PACS would like to thank the outgoing members of the Board: Dr Rommel Banlaoi, Ms Sharlene May Cua, Mr Charles Joseph de Guzman, Ms Ivy Marie Ganadillo, Mr Erwin Guile Dizon, Dr Theresa Cariño, and Mr Paulo Villar.
On June 3, the outgoing and incoming Boards met at Xavier School for a joint review of the strategic plan, and to discuss the plans for honouring PACS Past President, the late Ambassador Chito Sta. Romana. Stay tuned for more updates!
