The Philippine Association for Chinese Studies held a General Assembly last September 21, 2019 at Xavier School, San Juan. Along with the general assembly was the launching of the 12th Volume of the Chinese Studies Journal entitled “Philippines-China Relations: Geopolitics, Economics, and Counterterrorism” edited by PACS President Dr. Rommel Banlaoi.

Dr. Kenneth Guest of the City University of New York and Dr. Jely Galang of the University of the Philippines Diliman conducted lectures on the Philippine Association for Industrial Cooperatives in China and on Chinese Laboring Classes, Criminality, and the State in the Philippines (1831-1898), respectively.

In celebration of the mid-autumn festival, the attendees were also enjoined to play the dice game.
