PACS holds a Roundtable and Forum with South China Sea Strategic Situation Probing Initiative (SCSPI) on SCS issues
The Philippine Association for Chinese Studies (PACS) and the South China Sea Strategic Situation Probing Initiative (SCSPI), a Chinese think tank held the Philippines-China Roundtable Discussion on the South China Sea on 6 January 2020 at Jinjiang Inn, Arnaiz Avenue, Makati City followed by a public forum.
The roundtable and forum were attended by scholars from PACS, University of the Philippines Law Center, Ateneo De Manila Chinese Studies Program, Asia Pacific Pathways to Progress, Philippine Council for Foreign Relations, Asia Institute of Management, and various government offices such as Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of National Defence, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine Navy. The forum was also covered and participated by the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP), Phoenix, Guangming Daily, China Daily, CCTV, ABS CBN, GMA, and PTV.
The topics discussed were on the South China Sea Code of Conduct and the Philippines-China Bilateral Cooperation in the South China Sea.
